If you are requesting access

  1. A person reads it. Your message arrives in Loam’s inbox as an email. Nothing sorts it automatically.
  2. Say how you want to work. Phone and email only, the VS Code editor only, or both. Access is decided on the work: what you want built or reviewed, how many people would use Loam, and whether you need a hosted server.
  3. If it fits, Loam enables your account. Server-side model work runs on a Loam-managed key during a trial, then on your own Anthropic API key.

Then, depending on how you work

  • Phone and email only. Nothing to install. Sign in and confirm your registered phone under Security & Access; calls are verified with that phone and the email on your account. First success: call the front desk, pass verification, order one low-risk piece of work such as a short research brief, confirm the read-back, and receive the finished work in your inbox.
  • Editor only. Loam also enables your IDE API key. Install the Loam extension from the VS Code Marketplace, connect the MCP server, and start a session. First success: the first-hour exercise on Get started. Ask for one review of a low-risk project, decide what to do about one finding, then ask about that decision in a new session. The team should know.
  • Both. Set them up in either order. First success is both of the above: one verified order delivered, and one decision the team still knows in a new session.
